Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM)

1997-2020

Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM) was a custom aquarium company co-founded by Wayde King and Brett Raymer in 1997. ATM was based in Las Vegas, Nevada and grew to become the largest aquarium manufacturer in the world with hundreds of employees and worldwide clientele. Their custom aquariums were known for their unique and innovative designs using custom-fabricated acrylic. Some of the company’s most notable creations include a 13,000-gallon tank for the Rainforest Cafe in Las Vegas and a 24,000-gallon tank for the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai. Acrylic Tank Manufacturing’s work has stood the test of time and their tanks can still be seen in businesses and homes around the world.

Tanked on Animal Planet

2011-2019

Brett and his company gained widespread recognition through the Animal Planet reality show “Tanked.” The show premiered in 2011 and followed the day-to-day operations of the company and its employees. Through “Tanked,” viewers are given an inside look at the process of designing, building, and installing custom aquariums, as well as the personalities and relationships of the employees.

The wildly popular show was the highest rated program on Animal Planet and ran for fifteen seasons filming over 156, one hour episodes. Brett and his brother in law rose to celebrity status as they built custom aquariums for high-profile clients including A-list celebrities and professional athletes. Tanked still airs on Animal Planet and is broadcast in over 190 countries in 35 different languages. Many industry experts attribute the rapid growth in the aquarium hobby, including advances in fish keeping technology and responsible captive breeding programs to Brett and the show.

What is Brett Raymer doing now?

Fish & Ocean Advocacy

Educating the public about the aquatic world and supporting marine conservation is a big component of Brett’s mission. The oceans play a critical role in the health of the planet and the well-being of all living things. Brett has used his star status to bring attention to charities and organizations that help protect our oceans and the life that they support. He is committed to ensuring that future generations can enjoy the numerous benefits of a healthy aquatic ecosystem.

Philanthropy

Brett is also known for his philanthropic efforts. He has supported a number of charitable organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House Charities. In 2013, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital named Brett as an ambassador for his charitable contributions to the non-profit organization.

BR Design Group

After a 3 year hiatus from designing and building aquariums, Brett is now back with a new team “making aquatic dreams possible.” The BR Design Group is based in Las Vegas and builds custom aquariums for clients around the globe including hotels, professional athletes, musicians, and private individuals. The company also offers more affordable aquariums options that are shipped direct-to-consumer. Brett is currently releasing limited edition tanks that can be shipped worldwide and assembled by the purchaser (rather than a costly custom installation).
